Room Temperature Blackening Processes

Insta-Blak 333 

A room temperature blackening solution for cold and hot rolled carbon steels, alloy steels, tool steels as well as cast iron, forged steels and powdered metal. The mildly acidic liquid concentrate is diluted with 9 parts of water for a 10% by volume working solution. Immersion times of 2 to 5 minutes. It will not blacken stainless steels.
